Route Intelligence

Operational visibility through geography and movement.

Overview

Route Intelligence is an interactive analytical BI dashboard for understanding operations through geography: where activity happens, how routes perform, and where sourcing and transportation need attention.

The Challenge

Movement and sourcing decisions are geographic. Tabular reports can show totals; they struggle to show where performance concentrates, where routes strain, and where operational patterns are hiding in the map.

The Approach

The work focused on making route and location data usable for operations. Geospatial views were combined with operational analytics so movement could be reviewed as a decision surface, not only as a table of trips.

The Solution

A Power BI analytics layer presents geographic and route-based intelligence for operational review. The emphasis is visibility: seeing activity in space, comparing routes, and supporting sourcing and transportation conversations with a shared picture.

Impact / Outcomes

Operations can review movement and location in a visual analytics layer rather than reconstructing routes from disconnected tables.

Lessons

Geospatial intelligence is useful only when it is tied to an operational question. A map without ownership and cadence becomes a screenshot.
